An MRB is the full analysis of parts which have been removed from Repairs or Overhauls and held for inspection. Typically first MRB’s reveal considerable opportunities for cost reduction. Repair facilities can also be educated in more objective assessment. MRB and VE applications also are used for Migrating Components to alternative repair facilities. |

Devised by GE in WW2, VE is:- Defined Value equals the ratio of Function to Cost. As with ShouldCost Analysis, EVS uses VE to define the potential savings while maintaining the Performance and Quality. It can be applied to just about any or all components and sub components. VE is also a major building block for DER and PMA development. |
